February 23,2011 : Today was a match between Pakistan vs Kenya in the ICC World Cup 2011. This was the 6th match of the Tournament. The match was played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota.. Team Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad started the innings of Pakistan team. The Pakistan look for a good start for getting a solid platform in this match. Both the openers were failed to provide Pakistan team a good start and goes back to the pavilion in quick session. It was a good opening for the Kenya team as they got two quick wickets. After that Akhmal and Younis Khan got together and attacked at Kenya team bowlers. It was a over 80 run Partnership that pull things back in Pakistan team favor. Both the Players stroked half century to their name. It was Akmal who got out at the bowling of Ngoche after scoring 55 runs in 67 balls. The middle order of Pakistan team showed good temperament and added useful run for the team. The Pakistan team after the lost of early wickets the Pakistan team was getting towards a big total. The Pakistan team with the help of four half centuries of their middle order batsmen was setting a large total of 317 runs in 50 over. It was a great come back by Pakistan team.

It was too much for the Kenya team. After their performance in the last match against New Zealand team. MA Ouma and SR Waters started the run chase for the Kenya team. It was a terrible start for the team as Umar Gul Picked up two quick wickets for the Pakistan team. It was early break through for the Pakistan team. On the other hand Kenya team batsmen showed inconsistency in the batting. They were not able to stay at the crease and got out in quick session. The Seven batsmen of Kenya team were not able to score 10 run to their name. It was Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi who done the damage for the Pakistan team. Afridi took five wickets in the match and got his team to the victory gate. In the end the Kenya team Innings was wrapped by Pakistan team at 112 runs in 33.1 over. Pakistan team won the match by 205 runs.
